നടൻ ചിമ്പുവിന് ഓണററി ഡോക്ടറേറ്റ്; സിനിമാമേഖലയിലെ സേവനങ്ങൾക്കാണ് ചിമ്പുവിന് ഈ അംഗീകാരം

തമിഴ് നടൻ ചിമ്പുവിന് വേൽസ് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയുടെ ഓണററി ഡോക്ടറേറ്റ്. സിനിമാമേഖലയിലെ സേവനങ്ങൾക്കാണ് ചിമ്പുവിന് ഈ അംഗീകാരം ലഭിച്ചത്. സർവ്വകലാശാലയുടെ സ്ഥാപകനും ചെയർമാനും ചാൻസലറുമായ ഡോ. ഐഷാരി കെ ഗണേഷ് ആണ് ചിമ്പുവിന് ഓണററി ഡോക്ടറേറ്റ് സമ്മാനിച്ചത്.

ചെന്നൈയിൽ വച്ചു നടന്ന ചടങ്ങില്‍ ചിമ്പുവിന്റെ മാതാപിതാക്കളും പങ്കെടുത്തു. ഗൗതം മേനോൻ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്യുന്ന ‘വെന്ത് തനിന്തത് കാട്’ എന്ന ചിത്രമാണ് ചിമ്പുവിന്റെ അടുത്ത സിനിമ.
